[38].Surah Suad
Ayat 1. Suad [These letters (Suad etc.) are one of the miracles of the Qur'an and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Qur'an full of reminding.
Ayat 2. Nay, those who disbelieve are in false pride and opposition (of Prophet 
PBUH and Quran).
Tafseer of Surah Suad Ayat 1. Suad: By the Qur´an, Full of Admonition (This is the Truth). Suad is a letter of the Arabic alphabet. It is used here as an Abbreviated Letter,. The letter Sad occurs in combination in Surah 19, and by itself at the beginning of S. 38, and nowhere else. The factor common to S. 1, S.19, and S. 38 is that in each case the core of the Surah consists in the stories (qasas) of the Prophets. In this Surah we have the stories of Noah, Hud PBUH, Saleh PBUH, Lot PBUH, Shuayb PBUH, and Moses PBUH, leading up to Muhammad PBUH, and in S. 38, the stories of David PBUH, Solomon PBUH, and Job similarly lead up to Muhammad PBUH, occupying three out of the five sections. Surah 19 consists almost entirely of such stories. Can we understand Sad to stand for qasas, of which it is the most characteristic letter?. No dogmatism is permissible in trying to interpret Abbreviated Letters. But it is suggested that it may stand for Qasas ("Stories"), in which the dominant consonant is s. For this Surah is concerned mainly with the stones of David and Solomon as illustrative of the relative positions of spiritual and worldly power. Full of admonition: the word Dhikr is far more comprehensive than any single word or phrase that lean think of in English: it implies (1) remembrance in a spirit of reverence; (2) recital, celebrating the praises of Allah; (3) teaching, admonition, warning; (4) Message, Revelation, as in Ahl at Dhikr, "those who possess the Message" 16:43). Ayat 2. But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in Self-glory and Separatism. The great root of Evil and Unbelief is Self-glory or Arrogance, as is pointed out in several places with regard to Satan: cf, below, 38:74-76. This leads to Envy and Separatism, or a desire to start a peculiar doctrine or sect of one's own, instead of a desire to find common grounds of belief and life, which lead to the Religion of Unity in Allah. This teaching of Unity was what the Pagans objected to in the Prophet (as mentioned in verse 5 of this Surah)!
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Four are the qualities which, when found in a person, make him a sheer hypocrite, and one who possesses one of them, possesses one characteristic of hypocrisy until he abandons it. These are: When he is entrusted with something, he betrays trust; when he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he acts treacherously; and when he argues, he behaves in a very imprudent, insulting manner.''

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah As-Suad Ayat 02 "those who disbelieve are in false pride and opposition" Theologically speaking, a disagreement between heart and tongue - or word and deed - about the declaration of faith in Islam is defined as hypocrisy. In the lifetime of the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) there existed a group of hypocrites whose traits of characters have been outlined in Ahadith. Humanly it is not possible to perceive malice hidden in one's heart. Even Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) hardly knew what lay in the hearts of people because, despite having the exalted status of Prophet Hood, he was fundamentally a human. Allah, however, had revealed hearts to him. But today, we have no error-free source to pick hypocrites from the ranks of believers. Quite naturally, we fall back on the Hadith which provides us definite symptoms of the character and manners of hypocrites so as to distinguish them from sincere Muslims. Ulama' say that there are two aspects of hypocrisy, relating to faith and practice. In the first case, a hypocrite conceals his disbelief in his heart but verbally professes Islam. Anyone who belongs to this category of hypocrites will be, as stated in the Qur'an: "In the lowest depths of the Fire.'' (4:145). in the second case, a man does have faith in his heart but in practice he portrays the characteristics of a hypocrite, unfortunately a majority of today's Muslims practically behave like hypocrites and possess their propensities. It is this hypocritical attitude and moral deficiencies of Muslims that have degraded them and made Islam unappealing. May Allah put Muslims on the right path!
